Whoa!! That was a lot.
These are some of the myriad of things that people may or may not know about Roberto. He, like many other students, has many ambitions for his future. One of which was his ambition for personal success in the field of Psychology. His dream of being a psychologist has shown itself in his relationships with friends, family, fellow students, teachers/staff, and personal relationships. Some of his views on the school and its conditions were describes as both touching and shown pride as a J-Hawk. He believes that every teacher, no matter the subject, should be treated with respect for their hard work and should be given a raise for their work. Despite the current budget crisis that the school currently faces, he still strives for the condition in both appearance and education in both the students and staff. Another call for change is the improvement in the quality of medicine that the nurse’s office offers; as well as, the improvement of the Wi-Fi routers that the school offers as free Wi-Fi. Last but not least, the improvement in both option and quality of the school food. “I find it unsatisfying that we have to tolerate the kind of food that the school offers us every day.”- As he stated during our interview.
He goes into great detail about himself as we had our interview.
Originally he is from a town called Melrose Park, IL. He ended moving up to Rockford at age 5. As stated as an ambition, he would care for children in the future- stating that 3 children would be good as soon as he “got his life in order” and would leave Rockford when he feels the time is right. Fluent in both English and Spanish, a goal of is is to learn how to be fluent in German and Sign Language. He has his hands full as he participates in many school activities and extracurricular clubs, such as the Y.W.L.C. (Young Women’s Leadership Club), the school’s Key Club and he is a brilliant player of the drums in the school band.
